Prof. Kerstin BrätschKerstin Brätsch lives in New York and Berlin and is one of the most prominent German painters. She is highly recognized for her innovative and experimental approach to painting and is professor for painting at the HFBK Hamburg Art Academy. Brätsch's practice is characterized by a vibrant use of color and form, creating dynamic compositions that engage viewers in a dialogue about perception and meaning. Her contributions to contemporary art have been significant, offering fresh perspectives on the possibilities of painting and its role in contemporary discourse. Her work has exhibited internationally, at the Serpentine Galleries London, MoMA New York and the Venice Biennale, among others. 2025 she has solo exhibitions at the Museum Gropius Bau in Berlin, the Munch Museum in Oslo, the High Lane New York and at Barbara Gladstone Gallery New York.

Christina WernerChristina Werner is director of Olafur Eliasson's Institut für Raumexperimente. She is involved in teaching, curating and developing the institute’s wide-ranging activities. Christina is the curator of the acclaimed “Future Nows Festival” at Neue Nationalgalerie (2014 + 2025) and Hamburger Bahnhof (2017). We will speak about art and education, go for a "Berlin Walk" and will visit later on the studio of Olafur Eliasson.

Prof. Olafur EliassonBorn in 1967, Eliasson grew up in Iceland and Denmark, where he studied from 1989 to 1995 at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 1995, he moved to Berlin and founded Studio Olafur Eliasson. Since 1997, his wide-ranging solo shows – featuring installations, paintings, sculptures, photography, and film – have appeared in major museums around the globe. He represented Denmark at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003 and later that year installed The weather project, an enormous artificial sun shrouded by mist, in the Turbine Hall of Tate Modern, London, which was seen by more than two million people. As a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts, Eliasson led the Institut für Raumexperimente (Institute for Spatial Experiments; 2009–14), a five-year experimental program in arts education located in the same building as his studio.

Prof. Andreas GreinerProf. Andreas Greiner teaches media art at the Muthesius Academy in Kiel. He is a passionate nature explorer with a versatile practice ranging from time-based to living sculptures. He is also one of the pioneering artists involving artificial intelligence in his artistic experiments and multimedia installations. He had recently major solo exhibitions at Berlinische Galerie, Kunsthalle Bielefeld and the Mönchehaus Museum Goslar as the 34th recipient of the Kaiserring emerging-artist award. In Berlin we will visit him in his studio community at the Malzfabrik, run in close collaboration with the colleagues Julius von Bismarck, Julian Charriere and Raul Walch.

Raul WalchRaul Walch is an artist, painter and performer, working usually on large scale projects for museums and public spaces. He is committed to social and political interaction that often starts with a drawing on paper. One of his collaborators is the wind: his work has often included sailboats mobiles, kites and flags, designed to play with the wind and imagination of the viewer. Raul Walch is board member of the Union of Berlin Artists and the Floating University. Currently he runs a studio at the prestigious Villa Romana in Florence. Raul is represented by Eigen+Art Gallery.

Daniel KnorrDaniel Knorr lives and works in Berlin and Hong Kong. His international cross-genre practice is often reflecting economic and socio-political phenomena based on much research and humor. The relationship between public and private, artists and public is one of his central topics, blurring borders between the rational and visible. His work has been on view at the most prominent international exhibitions as Documenta, Venice Biennale, Berlin Biennale and Manifesta. He will speak with us about his recent work and studio in China.

Prof. Álvaro UrbanoBorn in Madrid 1983, Álvaro Urbano is renowned for his immersive installations that blend sculpture, architecture, theater, and film. He graduated from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid and the Institut für Raumexperimente in Berlin, under Olafur Eliasson. Urbano had recent solo exhibitions at the Sculpture Center New York, MACBA Barcelona and the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn. His work has been on view at the Taipei Biennial (2025), Sydney Biennial (2024), Autostrada Biennale Phrishtina (2021), Biennale Gherdëina (2020) and the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (2016). He is professor at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He is represented by ChertLüdde Gallery in Berlin and Marian Goodmann in New York.

Christian EhrentrautChristian Ehrentraut is the director of Galerie EIGEN + ART in Berlin and a renowned expert in the field of painting. Since he began operating the legendary art space LIGA in 2002, he has played a pivotal role in the success of the younger generation of the "New Leipzig School". He has helped launch the careers of artists such as Tilo Baumgärtel, Tim Eitel, Martin Kobe, Christoph Ruckhäberle, Franziska Holstein, David Schnell, and Matthias Weischer. He also curates exhibitions for numerous museums and institutions. On this occasion, he will join us to share his extensive experience in nurturing and developing emerging young artists.

王茜瑶 王茜瑶，1992年生于重庆，2014 年毕业于四川美术学院，2020 年获得汉堡美术学院硕士学位。她是一位以抽象绘画见长的艺术家，其视觉语言建立在身体绘画动作与画布上痕迹生成之间的辩证关系之上。她在创作过程中将绘画前的身体空间与画面内部的视觉张力并置，捕捉作品生成过程中的能量与活力。她目前生活在柏林。

Xiyao WangXiyao Wang (born 1992 in Chongqing) received a BA from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2014, and an MFA from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg (2020). Xiyao Wang is a painter whose sprawling language of abstract form is forged from a dialectic between the outer expressive gestures of her body as she paints, and the resulting marks generated on her canvases. The energy of both domains – the space before the painting and that of the depicted expanse within the frame of the picture – is captured with all of the vibrancy and vigour contained in the process of each work’s creation. She is currently based in Berlin.

Prof. Petrit Halilaj Born in Kosovo 1986, Petrit Halilaj belongs to a young generation of internationally acclaimed Berlin artists. His work delves into themes of identity, history, and transformation. He studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Art in Milan and currently serves as a professor at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, alongside his collaborator Álvaro Urbano. Halilaj's practice encompasses sculpture, drawing, painting, text, and performance, often incorporating materials from his native Kosovo to create immersive installations that reflect on personal and collective histories. His notable exhibitions include solo shows at institutions like the MACBA Museum Barcelona, Metropolitan Museum New York, Pirelli Hangar Bicocca Milan, Tamayo Museum Mexico, Museo Reina Sofia Madrid, Tate St Ives, Hammer Museum Los Angeles, and biennial as the Venice Biennale, Berlin Biennale, Sydney Biennale and Manifesta. During Gallery Weekend 2026 Petrit has two solo exhibitions in Berlin: at ChertLüdde Gallery and at the museum Hamburger Bahnhof.

Prof. Anne Duk Hee Jordan Petrit Anne Duk Hee Jordan 的艺术实践聚焦于生态、技术与集体行动。她尝试通过多种媒介，创作出受自然启发、富有幽默感且极具沉浸感的装置。她的创作将科学研究与幽默、超现实美学巧妙融合，旨在挑战“以人类为中心”的视角。Anne Duk Hee Jordan 目前担任汉堡造型艺术学院（HFBK Hamburg）环境艺术教授。

Prof. Anne Duk Hee Jordan Anne Duk Hee Jordan's artistic practice addresses ecology, technology and collective action. She is working in a variety of media and creates often playful and immersive installations inspired by nature. Her practice blends scientific research with humor and surreal aesthetics to question human-centered perspectives. Anne Duk Hee Jordan is professor for environmental art at the Hamburg Art Academy.

何见平 平面设计师、写作者和自由出版人。出生于中国，现居柏林。曾任教柏林艺术大学、中国美术学院、香港理工大学等学府。设计作品曾获得大量国际奖项，如华沙海报双年展金奖、德意志国家设计奖金奖、德国红点奖全场大奖、斯洛伐克Trnava海报三年展全场大奖、奥地利Joseph Binder金奖、伦敦D&AD黄铅笔奖等奖项。2006年荣获德国Ruettenscheid年度海报成就奖。设计个展曾在中国、德国、日本、斯洛文尼亚、波兰、伊朗和马来西亚等国举办。
他还是设计史论及文化史写作者，中国海报历史研究者。曾出版«中国海报艺术史»（德文及中文版），«设计之外»（中文版）等专著。

Dr. Jianping He He Jianping is a graphic designer, writer, and independent publisher who was born in China and is currently based in Berlin. He has held teaching positions at prestigious institutions such as the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), China Academy of Art, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Throughout his distinguished career, his work has garnered a vast array of international accolades, including the Gold Medal at the Warsaw International Poster Biennale, the Gold Award of the German National Design Award, and the Grand Prix at both the Red Dot Design Award and the Trnava Poster Triennial in Slovakia. His other honors include the Gold Award at the Joseph Binder Award in Austria and the Yellow Pencil at the D&AD Awards in London.
In 2006, he was recognized with the Ruettenscheid Annual Poster Achievement Award in Germany. His solo exhibitions have been hosted globally in countries such as China, Germany, Japan, Slovenia, Poland, Iran, and Malaysia. Beyond his design practice, he is a dedicated historian of design and culture and a prominent researcher of Chinese poster history. His published monographs include both German and Chinese editions of The History of Chinese Poster Art, as well as the Chinese edition of Beyond Design.

Prof. Jorinde Voigt Jorinde Voigt is one of the most renowned and versatile German artists and professor of drawing at the art academies in Hamburg (since 2019) and Munich (2014-2019). Inspired by musical scores, weather charts, literature and philosophy, Jorinde Voigt has developed a unique artistic language that triggers imagination to a new dimension. Mostly known for her complex and sensual drawings, she has been working recently in painting and sculpture too.

Boros Collection Founded by Karen and Christian Boros, the Boros Collection is a private collection of contemporary art in Berlin. Housed in a converted bunker, it comprises approximately 700 paintings, sculptures and installations, and includes groups of works by international artists, such as Wolfgang Tillmans, Damien Hirst, and Tracey Emin, dating from 1990 to the present. The Collection is highly regarded for its unique exhibition space and its support to contemporary art.
